Phobic and proud of it
A list of phobias to show you're normal
Is there something you avoid so much that you are embarrassed to tell your friends about it? Perhaps, for example, you don't tell them that you are just too scared to go into a public toilet, or that you arrange things so you never have to drive over a bridge, or you've never been to a party in your whole life in case you see someone vomit. Phobias which can be utterly crippling are often about something commonplace or trivial and it is common for people to be so ashamed of their phobia that they never tell anyone about it.
This list is to show you that people - many people, many normal people, indeed around 10% of the whole population - are afraid of some very odd things. Whether or not your specific fear appears on this list, you'll see the things as apparently unlikely as yours that can trigger fear which is often crippling. So take heart - you are not alone. And with hypnosis, you don't have to suffer any longer, either.
