Below on this page:Full details About Moumina Jeffs Practical information and Contact details

If  you’d like to feel more alive and more at peace, more loving towards others, and more in love with yourself, and more able to act effectively and dynamically, then this workshop can help you to do that.

It is aimed to help you to make the next step in your life no matter what that is, what your background is, and no matter what is in the way.

Moumina is a very old friend and I can testify that her work is exceptional: safe, gentle, non-confrontational and yet very powerful and going very deep. She creates a healing atmosphere where it is safe to explore the most intense issues and emotions with love, with respect, and with inner silence in the way that leads to real transformation. This work is profound.

Moumina leads workshops and trainings all round the world, but this is, amazingly to those who know her, the first open workshop she has run here in England since 1988. She intends to run no further workshops in the UK, and she will run no further Family Constellation groups. So seize the opportunity!

Falling in love with yourself

The art of making friends with your feelings

Fri evening Nov 23, Sat Nov 24, Sun Nov 25,
at Croydon Hall, near Minehead

How do you feel about your feelings?

This workshop will show you how to relate to your feelings and emotions in a trusting, friendly way which turns obstacles into openings, darkness into light, stress and tension into deep relaxation about your life.  It will help you to fall in love with yourself and to have a close and loving connection with others. It will help clear away barriers to action, feel your inner truth, and let you move in life more strongly and effectively.

Moumina creates a safe and protected atmosphere in which to feel, to express, to relate with love and inner truth. This work is profound.

There’s a very direct route to transformation: your body. Even when the mind gets lost in pain and worry, the body remains spontaneous, impulsive and alive. So the workshop starts with playfulness and fun.  Playfulness steps right past the crushing censorship of the critical mind and frees forgotten aliveness. Playfulness liberates a great source of vitality, fresh energy, creativity and new ways of seeing things.

Working with the body is especially important for men. Men are typically out of touch with their bodies and their feelings. They may feel that something is wrong with life, but commonly don't associate that with their own emotions. I remember one man who wept for the first time in a very long while and then said "Oh, that feeling is sadness then? - I feel like that all the time."

When they can't feel what is really going on, men try to deal with problems by changing the world around them, especially their partners. Sometimes, they do so angrily. Or, they live in their heads, analyzing what ought to happen. So especially for men, it's really useful and effective to work via the body.

Light-hearted playfulness is the spirit of the workshop even if very dark and intense emotions surface – in fact, especially then!

The other theme of the workshop is to relax into yourself,  dropping down into the silent inner place which exists behind all thoughts and feelings. From that inner centre, no emotion is to be feared, all can be welcomed. It’s the place where you can just fall in love with being you, the place where delight and joy bubble up from inside you. In this place, simply accepting thoughts and feelings is enough to transform them.

If  this sounds  similar to the language of  advaita and the “nondual” school of enlightened satsang teachers, that’s correct.  It is the identical truth.

But this truth isn't always easy to experience. Thoughts and feelings can in many ways be difficult to let into our consciousness. They may be deeply buried, or highly charged, or split off as “not me.” When this happens, practising advaita-style meditation can be difficult or impossible.

This workshop uses contact with the body, with other people and with our natural aliveness to help us find the home inside us, the inner source of tranquillity and delight, from where thoughts and feelings can be transformed through tranquil acceptance.

The workshop is also in harmony with a very different-looking vision of life, that of tantra.  The language is different from advaita, but in fact the understanding is the same. Tantra is profoundly non-dual, rejecting nothing, accepting all experiences, including the body and sexuality and “bad” feelings, and using that acceptance as a doorway to enter meditation. In the tantra vision, to find the inner home the body needs to relax from the tensions which come from stuck feelings and repressed emotions so the body flows in its natural aliveness. This workshop helps you to do that.
