Remember this is only an approximate general guide. Stress is not a precise, clearly defined notion. In fact in some ways it is just a way of medicalising normal human responses to normal situations. So there is no "official" test for how stressed you are, and a list like this can only ever give a general indication.

Feeling hopeless and discouraged, making a big deal out of small things, keeping everything inside, trying to do three things at once, thinking there is only one right way to do things, constantly complaining about the past, irritable bowel syndrome and heartburn, frequent urination, hyperventilating, weight loss or gain, impotence and loss of libido, high blood pressure, chest pain, cold hands and feet, back pain, jaw pain and tooth grinding, pulled muscles, workaholism, putting things off, increased time off work, tense unsatisfying breathing when you feel “I can’t draw a proper breath.”
