Fees in Bristol and Taunton

Fees in London

In London I am at present only doing intensive ("breakthrough") sessions, from a venue in Portobello Road. Breakthrough session fees have two elements, a non-refundable and non-transferrable advance setup fee of £120, plus my standard London hourly fee of £80-00 per hour. Sessions are of flexible length, and typically last six to seven hours. So a six hour session (say) would cost £120 + 6 x £80 = £600. These are among the very lowest fees for this type of extended session in central London. London breakthough session details.

To book a London extended/breakthrough session, I require an advance payment of £280-00. This is made up of
£120 setup charge plus
£160 = first two hours at £80-00 per hour.
----- The setup charge of £120 is non-refundable and non-transferrable under all circumstances.
----- The advance payment of hourly fees of £160 is
        (a) non-refundable and non-transferable if you fail to attend the appointment
        (b) FULLY REFUNDABLE if you attend the appointment but find after two hours that my work is not for you.

Please note that I do not confirm the date of the session until I received the non-refundable deposit. Since under UK Distance Selling Regulations you have a seven-day cooling off period on any internet purchase, this effectively means that payment must be made well in advance.

First session money-back assurance and terms and conditions

Finding the right therapist is a major decision. To assist you I offer:

  1. If desired, in Bristol and Taunton a free no-obligation half-hour introductory meeting
(or I'm also very happy to answer your questions on the phone)
  2. A no-risk assurance on the first session: If at the end of the first session you honestly feel that my work is not what you are looking for, there is no quibble, no question - and no charge. See terms and conditions below.

It is very, very rare for anyone to be other than delighted with their first session.

The following fair and commonsense conditions apply.

Question: Some therapists don't charge unless the client gets the changes they want. If you are so confident of your work, why don't you offer such a guarantee?

Answer: No genuine psychotherapist offers a guarantee of change, ever. It implies that your happiness is in the power of someone else to ensure, and that is just not so. Your life is your responsibility. The work of therapy is to help you take that fact as a joy and not as a burden. Happiness is in the end your choice, and that power to choose is our glory as human beings. In fact, a guarantee such as that undermines the whole therapeutic relationship and makes real change more difficult, not less. Hypnotists and NLP practitioners who claim to guarantee they can change other people's lives cannot possibly be working with the core issues in people's lives.

I like my first session to be two hours because in that time, many people will already have a tangible breakthrough. That gets the work off to a flying start. But that makes the first session more expensive, and so, to let me do the work in the way I find most effective, I support the longer session length with this assurance.

I want you to have complete peace of mind. When you come to see me, you have nothing to lose but your limitations.
